He’s been responsible for creating a formidable network of channel partners across the country which spans not just metro cities but also the B&C class cities for he firmly believes that the next wave of demand for IT products and solutions shall emanate from tier-I and tier-II towns which are witnessing enhanced usage and adoption of technology lately.
He had envisioned this trend much earlier and therefore concentrated on establishing a wider footprint for Unistal. His focused effort is paying rich dividends as Unistal today enjoys a more than 1 million licensed user base spread across more than 100 countries. Enhancing, consolidating and energising the channel network on regular basis by devising innovative schemes and promotions is one of his many responsibilities.
He also foresaw the fact that it may not always be possible for a customer to physically get his media (hard disk, external removable data storage devices, etc) to an authorized Unistal centre. This is when he introduced a revolutionary concept wherein data recovery from a media at a remote location happens over a connected link. Mr. Gupta has also spearheaded Unistal’s expertise in data forensics and cyber crime services wherein he has done extensive liaison and work with several Ministries, Government departments and agencies (state as well as central). He also interacts with investigation agencies involved in several cases. He has appeared on multiple national TV channels as an expert on the domain. However, besides the channel partners, he also tied up with OEMs such as Wipro, Acer, LG, HCL, etc. Owing to his initiative, the bulk orders from PC manufacturers of repute such as these firmed the financial backbone of the company immensely and laid the groundwork for what Unistal is today. It is his dynamism which prompted world’s no. 1 brand of security solutions to affect a tie-up with Unistal when it entered the Indian market.
Under his able aegis, Unistal is now repositioning itself for global growth and diversifying into business like document management and solutions across industry verticals leveraging on its software product and application development experience. He realized the potential in this new business domain and is rapidly establishing Unistal’s presence in the international market especially the Middle-East. The sales and marketing acumen that he is blessed with has led Unistal to capture 80% of India’s pipeline information management and project management systems business. He has closed large global business deals for the Company which includes a pipeline information management systems (PIMS) project in Oman and Malaysia. It is his business foresight to apply the business experience and technical know-how gained from the PIMS and project management business in the oil and gas sector to other sectors which have similar requirements like the water pipelines and waterways, power transmission lines, mobile network layout and construction, roads and highways construction, and building and community construction. Opening a new business vista for Unistal, he has successfully diversified Unistal’s successful and existing data recovery training business to that for oil, gas and construction industry verticals by starting an academy which shall cater to the serious shortage of skilled manpower.
He believes in constant innovation and recently started the Digital Marketing division of Unistal to cater the needs of growing organizations in this new digital era with an idea to leverage the power of internet.
Besides sales, marketing and operations, Mr. Gupta also looks after the finance of the Company. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree with more than two decades of exhaustive industry experience.
